Opus Vitae Construction (OVC) works with clients committed to quality and health – seeking to build homes that will deliver more than a design ‘wow’ factor. We listen hard, then expertly guide you through a rigorous and values-driven design and build process that addresses your wants and needs for your home.

Many in the industry have a simplified approach to what they consider ‘healthy’. We believe truly healthy homes plan for, and even verify through computer modeling, forgiving (and thus mold-resistant) assemblies; deliver exceptional, balanced, and filtered indoor air; supply unparalleled thermal comfort; and provide controlled, natural light. Healthy homes also emphasize natural, non-toxic and mold-resistant materials. Your healthy home will be as unique as your needs!

475 has a passion for building science, sustainable material use and Passive House. When people ask what we do, one abbreviated response is: “We sell tape.” Though this describes a simple act, it is one with a potentially huge impact. We sell air-sealing tape as a specialized and critical component in a complete building enclosure airtightness system, which is the foundation of a low-energy building.  Consequently, 475’s mission is to supply essential materials, building components, and knowledge that will lead a transformation of the North American construction industry toward making durable high-performance, Passive House and zero-energy buildings.

Karbon Bar LLC is a leading provider of high-quality Glass Reinforced Fiber Polymer (GFRP) rebar and mesh in the PNW since 2018. GFRP composite bars and mesh are non-metallic alternative reinforcements for concrete. Karbon Bar is perfect for flatwork and multiple slab-on-grade applications with many added benefits over steel, provides twice as much tensile strength, and most importantly, is completely corrosion resistant which makes it perfect for concrete exposed to water. It is four times lighter than steel, easy and less expensive to transport and install, and can be easily cut individually or in bundles. It can be tied using traditional wire, plastic clips, or zip ties and does not become excessively hot or cold. Karbon Bar has a working lifespan much greater than that of traditional steel. We are excited to champion this innovative product as it gains market share throughout the US.
